All the arts and crafts paraphernalia is secured beyond that door. Any forays beyond the door before Wednesday will be met with swift and immediate de-crafting maneuvers. If any "found object" crafting or MacGyver crafting is done in other parts of the house and isn't cleaned-up, everyone is going to have to wear mittens for the remainder of the week except for piano and violin practice. :-D
Mittens is the perfect solution. I would suggest that they come off for eating summer berries too, but that's just because I'm a lazy landress. I wish my kids could read, so I could adopt your methods.
Is it slow parenting – encourages parents to plan and organise less for their children, instead allowing them to enjoy their childhood and explore the world at their own pace.

I hope it doesn't have an unintended effect upon the other parts of your house. It's all so official looking!

I want before and after pictures.
In order for this to work, though, children must be able to read. *sigh*
Maybe I can recreate this in pictures for the under 5 set.
Enjoy your space. A room of your own.
