Mother: So, what's new at school? Any problems? Anything new? Any crushes on boys?
Daughter: No. No. And no, boys are weirdos.
5yo Brother: HEY! That makes me sad! Boys aren't weirdos!
Mother (to 5yo): You're right. Boys aren't weirdos. That wasn't nice of her to say that.
5yo Brother: (getting weepy) I'm feeling very sad right now.
Mother (to Daughter): Apologize to your brother. Tell him you don't think he's a weirdo.
5yo Brother: (singing) OOOOH, MY PEEEE-PEEEE! MY PEEEEEE-PEEEEEE! OH, MY PEEEE-PEEEEEE!
Mother:
Daughter: Really? Tell him I don't think he's a weirdo?
5yo Brother: (singing) BAD, BAD, PENGUIN! YOU'RE A BAD, BAD, PENGUIN! AND A BAD, BAD PENGUIN!
Mother (to 5yo): You're not helping your case right now.
5yo Brother: I tooted. It felt like a monster truck engine.

I agree, Sara. I don't think boys are weird. Then again, I was never a 13yo dealing with a younger brother. ;-)
